AMR Changes System Status Plan
American Medical Response has recently changed it's ambulance deployement to a mixture of both 24 hour and 12 hour units. The 12 hour units are being deployed to posting locations to provide better area coverage as well as maximize unit usage. 12 hour units are also on an "peak staffing" schedule. This means there will be more ambulances on during the hours of predicted higher call volumes, and less during the slower times.
